Josh Sloan is a decorated scholastic player with team titles including 1st place at the 2025 CT State High School Championship and the 2022 NY State U1200. He also led his team to 2nd in the 2023 NY State U1800 and placed 1st nationally in the 8th grade US Nationals. A co-president of his school’s chess club, Josh ranks in the 93rd percentile among U.S. juniors and the 99.7th percentile on Chess.com.

Ethan is a top-ranked FIDE player in the 2008 age group, representing England and holding two international titles: FIDE Arena Master and Arena Candidate Master. He’s a seasoned tournament competitor and co-president of the Edgemont Chess Club. Ethan has earned top finishes at state and national levels, including 1st place at the NY State K-12 U1800–U1400 Championship and team titles at the Connecticut State High School Championships (2022, 2023, 2025).
